cholesterol,diabetes and skin care, announces that it has had an abstract accepted for presentation at the International Scientific Conference on Probiotics and Prebiotics in Budapest, Hungary from 20 - 22 June 2017 (IPC2017). IPC2017 is the largest scientific conference worldwide focusing on probiotics and prebiotics forscientists, researchers, product developers, industry and the investment community. The conference attracts up to500leading scientists,opinion leaders, investors, and clinicians frommore than 80 countries.
The abstract, titled"The Development of a TargetedSynergistic Synbiotic forLactobacillus plantarumLPLDL", describes how by combining its OptiScreen and OptiBiotic, OptiBiotix were able to synthesise a dietary fibre that substantially enhances the cholesterol reducing activity of LPLDL in gut models. This creates the potential for next generation LPLDL products with cholesterol reduction levels potentially approaching those of statins.
