** Shares of Optiemus Infracom OPTI.NS rise 4.9% to 584.6 rupees, its biggest intraday pct rise since October 13

** Mobile and telecom products firm posts 22.2% rise in Q2 consol net PAT to 167.8 million rupees ($1.9 million); quarterly revenue from ops falls 12.4% to 4.18 billion rupees

** Core profitability remained robust in the September quarter despite a dip in 12% drop in revenue due to shipment timing and changes in product mix, says co's management in an investor presentation

** Co adds, strong balance sheet and cost control drove sustainable earnings, enabling capacity expansion

** More than 225,940 shares change hands vs 30-day avg of 197,687 shares

** YTD, stock down 16.3%
