Oramed rises as JV prepares for clinical trials of oral COVID-19 vaccine

** Drug developer's shares  ORMP.O  rise 5.2% to $12.86
    ** Co's majority-owned Oravax Medical preparing to start
clinical trials of oral COVID-19 vaccine, initially in Israel
and followed by international sites
    ** Says vaccine is being tested in preclinical studies
against COVID-19 variants and being developed as a standalone
shot as well as a booster 
    ** Received clearance by a hospital in Israel to begin the
study; awaiting Israeli health ministry approval - ORMP
    ** The spread of the Delta variant, accompanied by a surge
in COVID-19 cases in the United States and other countries has
raised concerns about a possible slowdown in economic recovery
    ** Oravax Medical was formed earlier this year as a JV
between Oramed and Premas Biotech
    ** Stock has more than tripled YTD, including session's
moves
