July 20 (Reuters) - Below are company-related news and
stories from France and Benelux which could have an impact on
the region's markets or individual stocks.
        
    BIOPHYTIS  ALBPS.PA  
    The biotech said it asked the U.S. pharmaceuticals regulator
for a pre-submission meeting as it seeks to obtain an emergency
use authorisation for a COVID-19 treatment. 
    
    EDF  EDF.PA  
    France's nuclear energy operator on Wednesday announced
outages for maintenance at several reactors will be extended. 

    IPSEN  IPN.PA  
    French drugmaker Ipsen said the European Commission has not
granted its approval for palovarotene, an investigational
treatment for fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), a
condition that causes abnormal bone growth. 
    
    KERING  PRTP.PA  
    Bluebell Capital has taken a stake in French luxury group
Kering and is pushing for change, including looking at a tie-up
with Cartier-owner Richemont, two sources close to the matter
told Reuters on Wednesday. 
    
    ORANGE  OBEL.BR  
    The French company's Belgian unit on Thursday posted total
revenues of just over 740 million euros in the first half of the
year. Group first-half results are due on July 26.
