** Shares of drugmaker Orchard Therapeutics Plc ORTX.O
rise 10.4% to $4.64 premarker
** Co said a panel of European Medicines Agency has
recommended approval of its experimental gene therapy, libmeldy,
to treat metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD), a rare hereditary

** EMA's positive opinion will now be reviewed by
the European Commission, which has the authority to grant
marketing authorization for libmeldy in EU
** Libmeldy is indicated for use as one-time gene therapy in
