Orchard Therapeutics rises on commercial deals for gene therapy in Middle East, Turkey

** Shares of drugmaker ORTX.O rise 3% to $7.30 premarket
** Co enters exclusive agreements with GenPharm Services and
GEN to broaden access to its gene therapy, Libmeldy, for
patients in Middle East & Turkey (https://bit.ly/39RnFwK)
** Libmeldy is indicated for use as one-time gene therapy in
children with the 'late infantile' or 'early juvenile' forms of
metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD)
** MLD is a hereditary disease characterized by accumulation
of fats called sulfatides around cells especially those in brain
and spinal cord
** Partnership will expand access to Libmeldy in Saudi
Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Turkey - ORTX
** Stock up 63.8% this year, as of last close
