** Shares of Organogenesis ORGO.O rise 31% to $2.93 premarket

** ORGO got the green light from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to apply for approval of ReNu, a treatment for knee pain caused by osteoarthritis, co said late on Monday

** The FDA agreed that its existing clinical data supports marketing application for ReNu, ORGO said

** Co expects to initiate a rolling BLA application before the end of December

** Separately, co said its wound-care product, PuraPly AM, met its main goal in a trial, showing it helped close stubborn foot wounds in diabetic patients better than standard treatment alone

** As of last close, stock down 56% YTD
