Grupa Azoty falls after report legal row threatens key asset sale to Orlen
BUZZ-Grupa Azoty falls after report legal row threatens key asset sale to Orlen ** Shares in Polish chemicals company Grupa Azoty ATTP.WA fall as much as 5.2% after a report that a legal dispute could jeopardise the sale of its Polimery Police plant to refiner Orlen PKN.WA
** U.S.-European chemical company LyondellBasell LYB.N has started arbitration against Orlen, claiming the acquisition would breach a non-compete clause from their long-standing joint venture agreement, according to Poland's WNP.pl business news portal
** Erste Securities analyst Jakub Szkopek said in a note that Orlen not acquiring the assets would 'pose a serious challenge to the further restructuring of Grupa Azoty'
** The sale is a cornerstone of Azoty's restructuring plan, as the company has struggled with losses from high gas prices, import competition, and cost overruns on the now-idle Police project
