INTEREST RATES
The Polish central bank's two-day interest rate meeting begins on Tuesday. The Monetary Policy Council (MPC) decision will be published on Wednesday, and analysts polled by Reuters expect interest rates to remain unchanged in September.

AIRSPACE
Polish airport in Lublin has resumed air operations after being temporarily closed due to operations of military aviation, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) said on Tuesday.

POLAND AND CANADA AGREEMENT
On Monday, the defence ministers of Poland and Canada signed a cooperation agreement that will cover, among other things, joint exercises and cooperation between the defence industries, the PAP agency reported. 
   
EMPLOYMENT
32% of companies plan to increase their labour force in the fourth quarter, less than in the two previous quarters, but up from a year ago, Rzeczpospolita daily reported, quoting a poll by ManpowerGroup conducted in the group of 525 employers. 

ORLEN PKN.WA
Poland's State Assets Ministry plans to sell the majority of its stake in its biggest defence company PGZ, and the buyer could be its refiner number one, Orlen PKN.WA, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported, quoting XYZ portal.
Orlen declined to comment, while the ministry's spokesperson said he could not confirm the information, adding that analyses were ongoing on scenarios for streamlining the companies' portfolio, including PGZ, Gazeta Wyborcza also said.
Polish State Assets Minister Wojciech Balczun earlier had told the PAP agency that he wanted some state-controlled companies to become shareholders of PGZ to increase its credibility.
