Gold Fields CEO: offering cash on Osisko Mining deal helped beat competition
JOHANNESBURG, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Gold Fields GFIJ.J
Chief Executive Mike Fraser said on Monday that offering cash
for the South African miner's deal to buy Osisko Mining OSK.TO
had helped it beat competitors to the acquisition.
Fraser also told Reuters in a telephone interview that
buying the Canadian miner for cash would avoid share dilution.
