MILAN, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Colder weather is boosting
sales at Italian clothing retailer OVS after a sector's slow
start to the autumn-winter season, its CEO said on Wednesday,
adding this boded well for the Christmas period.
"Since the season got off to a late start, we could see a
good Christmas", OVS OVS.MI Chief Executive Stefano Beraldo
said, adding that cooler temperatures seemed to have a deeper
impact on consumers' behaviour than current inflationary
pressures.
Italy, as many other countries in Europe, had an unusually
warm October, but temperatures dropped earlier this month.
