    Italy's justice minister has begun disciplinary action
against three judges who granted house arrest to a Russian
businessman facing extradition to the U.S. who later escaped and
fled to Russia, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter
said on Wednesday.
    
    ECONOMY
    Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco gives speech on key
issues in the debate on inflation at OMFIF in London (1315 GMT).

    Treasury announces sale of 6-month BOT bills, with relative
amounts to be auctioned on April 26.
