    Italy bade farewell to four-times prime minister Silvio
Berlusconi on Wednesday at a funeral befitting the business
tycoon's colourful life, with mourners bellowing football chants
and politicians arguing over a day of national mourning.
    
    ECONOMY
    Bank of Italy releases April data on public finances, state
borrowing and debt.
    
    COMPANIES

    Italian energy group has intensified talks with several
investors over a potential sale of a minority stake in its
renewables and retail business Plenitude, three sources with
knowledge of the matter said on Wednesday.
    
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    The phone group said on Wednesday it had elected Alessandro
Pansa, a former head of Italy's police force, as a non-executive
director in a majority vote, filling a vacant seat on the board.

    Moody's changed on Wednesday outlook on Italian oil services
group's  ratings to "positive", affirms "Ba3" rating.

    Board meeting on 2023-2029 strategic plan, followed by
strategy presentation in London and on streaming (0900 GMT) and
news conference with CEO Paolo Gallo in presence only.
    
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI  
    Canada, which has been renegotiating its support for a
Stellantis-LGES electric vehicle battery plant, is confident
that the investment is good for the country and "is coming,"
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said on Wednesday, hinting
that a new deal may have been reached.

    In a speech following the funeral on Wednesday of company
founder Silvio Berlusconi, his son and CEO Pier Silvio
Berlusconi said the Italian media company must return to being
