    POLITICS
    Italy should have a new government in place by early next
week, League leader Matteo Salvini said on Wednesday, after a
rightist coalition won a parliamentary election last month.
    ECONOMY
    Bank of Italy releases August data on foreign investors
holdings of Italian government bonds.
    Rising temperatures risk stunting the growth of the Italian
economy over the coming decades, with sectors such as
agriculture and tourism among the hardest hit, a Bank of Italy
research project said on Wednesday.
    COMPANIES
    BRUNELLO CUCINELLI  BCU.MI 
    Italian luxury group Brunello Cucinelli on Wednesday again
raised its revenue guidance for 2022 after posting a 23% jump in
sales at constant exchange rates in the first nine months of the
year.

    The energy services group has been awarded a $4.5 billion
contract by Qatargas related to two offshore gas compression
complexes in Qatar, it said in a statement on Wednesday.

    Italian union delegates on Wednesday approved a proposal
presented by their leaders to seek a wage rise of 8.4% for next
year at Stellantis, Ferrari, Iveco and CNH Industrial, setting
the scene for formal talks with the industrial groups.

    Unions at Monte dei Paschi di Siena on Wednesday said the
state-owned Italian bank had to promptly tell the 4,125 staff
who have come forward to take an early exit package whether
their requests would be met.

    Italy's competition watchdog has opened inquiries into
Italian utility Iren, Spain's Iberdrola and German's E.ON over
some of their alleged electricity and gas contract practices
with customers, it said on Wednesday.
