MILANO, June 14 (Reuters) - Sales at Italian clothing
retailer OVS OVS.MI rose 12.2% year-on-year in the first
quarter ending April and the rate of increase "held firm" in May
despite the bad weather, the company said on Wednesday.
"The excellent results in the first quarter are due to the
very positive response to the spring-summer collection, which
has enabled us to continue in the current phase of attracting
new customers", Chief Executive Stefano Beraldo said.
Net sales in the period February-April totalled 336.5
million euros ($364.77 million), while the adjusted core profit
was up 36.3% to 27.5 million euros.
