Nala Renewables acquires onshore wind project from OX2 (updated)

(Adds detail from paragraph 3)
Aug 5 (Reuters) - Commodity trader Trafigura's Nala
Renewables, a 50-50 joint venture with funds managed by IFM
Investors, has acquired a 99.2 megawatt (MW) onshore wind
project in eastern Romania from renewable energy company OX2.
The deal is Nala's third in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)
this year, Trafigura said on Monday without disclosing the
price, adding that the business has more than 1.5 GW of
renewable energy projects in the region.
Construction of the project, which will consist of 16 Vestas
V162-6.2 MW wind turbines, is expected to start in the third
quarter of this year and is likely to begin testing during the
first half of 2026.
The deal includes a 12-year power purchase agreement with a
multinational company and the financing for the transaction is
being provided by Erste Group and its subsidiary Banca
Comerciala Romana, Trafigura said without disclosing terms of
the agreements.
