Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Oxford Metrics plc (LSE: OMG) the international software company servicing government, life sciences, entertainment and engineering markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Quantrell as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. David will be a member of both the Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee. With this appointment, Oxford Metrics' representation of non-executive directors on the Board is expanded from three to four.

David Quantrell has more than 30 years of experience in senior management roles across the software sector. He was Vice President and General Manager, EMEA at Clarify, a global software company. There, he helped build the business ahead of its sale to Nortel Networks, where he then took the role of President EMEA of the fast growing eBusiness division. In 2006, David was appointed Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, HP Software, where he led the integration of Mercury Interactive in EMEA, a business he had run prior to its acquisition by HP and sat on the global software management team. Following this role, David was appointed President, EMEA at McAfee where he led a major European change programme to re-establish organic growth. Most recently he was Senior Vice President and a member of the global management team at Box, a cloud storage company, where he helped to establish the brand in Europe during a period where the Company experienced dramatic growth and a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange ('NYSE').

David is currently an adviser to a number of privately-owned and venture-backed cloud software providers in both the United Kingdom and United States.

Commenting on the appointment Roger Parry, Chairman of Oxford Metrics, said:

"I am delighted to welcome David to the Oxford Metrics Board and we look forward to working with him. This appointment further strengthens our non-executive representation - David has substantial experience in senior management roles at a variety of global software companies. That experience will be invaluable to Oxford Metrics as we look to continue to grow our SaaS customer base and expand internationally."

Commenting on his appointment David Quantrell, said:

"This is an exciting time for Oxford Metrics. Yotta continues to broaden its capabilities and market appeal and there is a clear opportunity ahead to change the way nations manage their infrastructure assets. Vicon is a leader in its field and with the launch of IMU-Step - a SaaS product sold on subscription - there is an opportunity to grow its base of recurring revenues. Having held senior leadership roles at Box, HP Software and McAfee, I hope to bring my experience to bear, as the Group continues to grow into an international software business."
