Aug 12 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.2%.
* RETAIL: British consumers raised their spending in July as unusually warm weather at the start of the month boosted clothing sales but demand cooled along as temperatures dropped and some of the increase reflected higher food prices.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices rose, copper prices in Shanghai and London held steady, and gold prices nudged higher on Tuesday.
* FTSE: Britain's blue-chip index climbed on Monday, led by financials and consumer-related shares, while investors focused on upcoming economic releases and revived Russia-Ukraine peace efforts.
