** Reuters reports that Apollo Global APO.N has withdrawn its offer to take PZZA private at $64 a share, citing two people familiar with the deal

** APO pulled offer about a week ago, as consumers tighten spending and the quick-service restaurant industry starts to stumble

** PZZA and APO did not immediately respond to requests for comment

** APO submitted bid for PZZA in October

** Up to last close, PZZA had risen over 17% YTD
