STOXX DIPS AS OIL, YIELDS RISE
European shares have begun their day in the red as oil prices and global bond yields have risen again following the recent exchange of attacks in the Middle East.
The STOXX 600 .STOXX is down 0.5% in early trade. Breadth was negative with about two-thirds of companies trading in the red.
One bright spot is the energy sector .SXEP, which is up over 1%, as oil and gas prices are rising for a second day on the escalation in the Middle East.
Travel & leisure .SXTP and defence stocks .SXPARO are Europe's biggest laggards.
Switzerland's Partners Group PGHN.S is the biggest faller, down about 8% after its first-half results and departure of its CEO.
