Partners Group exits investment in bubble tea company Gong cha ZURICH, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Partners Group PGHN.S has agreed to exit its private client investment in Gong cha after Bain Capital bought the Taiwanese bubble tea maker earlier this month, the Swiss private equity company said on Monday.
Partners Group provided $200 million in funding for TA Associates' acquisition of Gong cha in 2019 and also invested in the company's equity.
Bain bought Gong cha in August for an undisclosed sum, although Reuters reported in May the sale could fetch as much as $2 billion.
