** Artificial intelligence company completes A$2.5 million ($1.63 million) placement

** Issue price of A$0.12 per share represents a discount of 25% to the stock's previous close

** Proceeds will be used to accelerate commercial scaling of TrialKey and support adjacent AI-sector acquisition opportunities

** About 2.3 million shares change hands, 1.9 times the 30-day avg

** Stock is down 21.1% YTD, including the session's moves
