** Reuters was unable to confirm the report; Dayforce and Thoma Bravo did not respond to requests for comment

** Dayforce market cap at $8.44 billion as of Friday's close, according to LSEG data

** "We see Dayforce as a logical asset for Thoma Bravo to pursue as it has one of the most compelling long-term opportunities in the HCM space with its success in moving upmarket and internationally" - Barclays

** DAY trades at nearly 20x profit estimates versus about 24x for Workday WDAY.O, 27x for Automatic Data Processing ADP.O and 22x for Paycom Software PAYC.N

** Up to last close, stock fell about 27% this year
