** UK mid-cap focused investment bank Peel Hunt PEEL.L's shares jump nearly 4% to 108 p

** Co half-year adjusted pre-tax profit surge 306% to 18.7 million pounds  ($24.71 million) from 4.6 million pounds a year earlier

** Co confident in meeting market expectations for full financial year

** PEEL's headcount also down more than 15% from FY23 peak, fixed costs down by about 5 million pounds for FY26

** YTD, PEEL up nearly 5%
