Adds new items, updates futures
July 10 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.50%.
* WPP: WPP WPP.L named board member Cindy Rose as its new chief executive on Thursday, handing the top job to a senior executive from Microsoft a day after it downgraded profit forecasts.
* VISTRY: Vistry VTYV.L reported a 33.7% slump in adjusted pre-tax profit for the first half of fiscal 2025.
* ROYAL MAIL: Britain's media regulator said it had set new minimum acceptable delivery deadlines for Royal Mail to prevent long delays, and changed some existing delivery targets that could help the postal service save up to 425 million pounds ($578.3 million).
* PAGEGROUP: PageGroup PAGE.L forecast an annual operating profit of about 22 million pounds ($29.95 million), in line with market view, months after withholding it due to uncertainities caused by U.S. tariffs.
* SOUTH WEST WATER: British water regulator Ofwat said that it has proposed a 24-million-pound ($32.7 million) enforcement package on South West Water for "failures in managing its wastewater treatment works and network".
* THAMES WATER: Thames Water is weighing a last-ditch rescue bid from former Liberal Democrat energy spokesman Rupert Redesdale and investment firm Muinin Holdings, the Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
* REVOLUT: Revolut is in talks to secure new funding at a valuation of $65 billion, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices were steady, gold prices edged higher, and copper prices on the London Metal Exchange and Shanghai Futures Exchange were under pressure, hovering near a three-week low.
