UK Stocks-Factors to watch on November 24

Nov 24 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Monday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.6%.

* ANGLO AMERICAN: BHP BHP.AX on Monday pulled back from a last-ditch effort to buy Anglo American AAL.L.

* DMGT: Daily Mail owner DMGT said on Saturday it had struck a 500-million-pound ($650 million) deal to buy rival newspaper The Telegraph.

* BP: BP BP.L said on Friday its Olympic Pipeline crew excavated more than 100 feet (0.03 km) of pipeline following a leak earlier this month near Everett, Washington, but have not yet identified the source of the leak.

* PERSHING SQUARE: Bill Ackman plans to take his hedge-fund firm Pershing Square PSHP.L and a new investment fund public early next year, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca AZN.L said on Friday it will invest $2 billion to expand its manufacturing footprint in Maryland as part of its previously announced $50 billion plan.

* BUDGET: The head of a British employers group will accuse finance minister Rachel Reeves on Monday of ignoring them on issues such as energy costs and labour reforms and urge her to make "hard choices" in this week's budget.

* CRITICAL MINERALS: Britain rolled out on Saturday a critical minerals strategy designed to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers by 2035.

* COMMODITIES: Oil prices slipped, gold prices dipped for a third consecutive session, and copper prices rose on Monday.

* FTSE: London's FTSE 100 recovered ground on Friday, trimming earlier losses as increased expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate cuts improved global market sentiment, while investors now await next week's UK budget announcement.
