Brazil auctions seven pre-salt oil blocks, raises $106.3 million RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Brazil's oil regulator ANP on Wednesday auctioned seven pre-salt oil blocks, with Petrobras PETR3.SA, Prio Forte PRIO3.SA, Equinor EQNR.OL, Galp GALP.LS, Sinopec 600028.SS and CNOOC 601808.SS emerging as winners.
The auction attraced little competition, with all winners being the sole bidders for the areas they acquired
The auction raised a total 530.47 million reais ($106.31 million), while planned exploration investments were estimated at 778.43 million reais
Equinor and Galp won the Rodocrosita block with a 494.64% premium, the highest in the auction
Petrobras won the Azurita and Cruzeiro do Sul blocks, while Prio secured the Magnetita and Hematita blocks, Equinor won the Rubi block, and CNOOC and Sinopec purchased the Jade block
