Philogen: GS starts with 'neutral' citing pioneering antibody cancer treatment approach

** Goldman Sachs initiates Philogen  PHIL.MI  with
"neutral", pointing to the Italian biotech firm's platform
technology which uses antibodies to direct the targeted delivery
of cytokines to act locally at the site of the tumour
    ** "This may potentially lead to greater efficacy and safety
vs what has been seen in the past with systemic cytokine
delivery approaches," the broker says
    ** GS sees merits in Philogen's pionneering approach based
on the company's proprietary antibody targeting mechanism, its
ability to engineer potentially differentiated compounds, and
its focus on indications with a large unmet need
    ** "Philogen is also developing a number of other
earlier-stage assets which we do not model, and thus represent
potential upside to our estimates," the broker adds
