** Shares of Physicswallah PHYS.NS rise as much as 48.6% to 161.99 rupees in trading debut, valuing co at 463.24 bln rupees ($5.2 bln) at day's high

** Stock opened at 145 rupees on the National Stock Exchange of India, 33% higher than IPO price of 109 rupees

** Edtech firm's 34.8 bln rupee IPO, comprising issue of fresh shares and sale of shares by existing shareholders, was subscribed 1.8x

** Overall trading vols at 133.4 mln shares so far

** Proceeds from IPO to be used for capital expenditure for new offline and hybrid centers, expenditure towards lease payments of existing offline and hybrid centers, investment in subsidiaries, marketing expenditure and other purposes
