    POLITICS
    Italy has lifted an embargo on arms sales to the United Arab
Emirates (UAE), the government said in a statement on Monday.
    
    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases February foreign trade data (0800 GMT).
    
    DEBT
    Treasury announces sale of BTP Short and BTPei bonds, with
relative amounts to be auctioned on April 21.
    
    COMPANIES

    Eni confirmed its planned investments in biofuels in Italy
and abroad, the head of the group's sustainable mobility unit
said on Monday. 
     
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    Bidders for TIM's landline grid are preparing to raise their
offers of around 20 billion euros by between 1 and 2 billion
euros ahead of a Tuesday deadline, three sources close to the
matter told Reuters.

    The Italian aerospace group said on Monday it had signed
contracts worth 90 million euros with European missile maker
MBDA.
