The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

POLITICS
In the coming days, Italy will do whatever it takes to
unblock the third instalment of the EU pandemic recovery fund,
which is worth 19 billion euros, the European Affairs Minister
Raffaele Fitto said in a statement on Saturday. Brussels
excluded the projects for new Stadiums in Florence and Venice
from the ones that can be financed with EU cash, Fitto added.
ECONOMY
Italy needs a sovereign wealth fund to funnel its large
private savings into the corporate sector and boost the economy,
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was quoted as telling the Milano
Finanza newspaper.
DEBT
Italy's Prime Minister told Milano Finanza she was working
with economy and finance minister Giancarlo Giorgetti to
increase the share of Italians who invest in government debt but
ruled out a tax cut on domestic government bonds.
COMPANIES
LEONARDO LDOF.MI
CEO candidate Roberto Cingolani may also become general
manager of the defence group, a role aimed at by the current CEO
of the MBDA subsidiary Lorenzo Mariani. Mariani may decide to
remain in his current job, La Repubblica reported on Sunday.
MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI
The privatisation of Italian lender Monte dei Paschi di
Siena should foster the creation of several large banking groups
in the country, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was quoted as
telling the Milano Finanza newspaper on Saturday.
TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI
The government is monitoring the phone group's efforts to
sell its landline grid and submarine cable unit Sparkle, but
will not intervene unless there are risks for the country's
national interest, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni told Milano
Finanza on Saturday.
ENEL ENEI.MI
Italy's Prime Minister on Saturday told Milano Finanza that
she was satisfied with government's nominations for the boards
of state-controlled companies including Enel, shrugging off
criticism voiced by some investors in Italy's biggest utility.
CEO candidate Flavio Cattaneo plans to accelerate cost cuts
and maintain dividend policy, Bloomberg News wrote on Friday
citing people familiar with the matter.
DIARY
Italy's Treasury publishes type and amounts of BTP bonds and
CCTeu notes to be auctioned on April 27.

Banca Mediolanum, Banco BPM, Campari, CNH Industrial,
Ferrari, Prysmian, Stellantis pay dividends.

EVENTS
Exclusive talks between ITA, the successor to bankrupt
Alitalia, and Lufthansa LHAG.DE over the sale of a minority
stake in the Italian carrier ends on Monday, although the
deadline is not binding.
