    The Italian government approved a decree on Friday setting
out how it will oversee investments funded by the European Union
and accelerating procedures for public works, a key step in

    Italy reported 44 coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday, down
from 83 the day before, and the daily tally of new infections

    The French-Italian group said on Friday that, due to
unprecedented global microchip shortage, production at Belvidere
assembly plant in Illinois and at Windsor assembly plant in
Ontario will be down the week of June 7. Production at Warren
truck in Michigan and at Jefferson North in Michigan resumes the

    Stellantis will also shut its Toluca plant in Mexico during
the week of June 7 due to a semiconductor chip shortage, a

    The carmaker said on Friday it was voluntarily recalling

    Stellantis will again halt production at its Melfi plant in
southern Italy next month as a global chip shortage and weak
demand linked to the COVID-19 pandemic keep affecting the

    Shareholders in the Italian infrastructure group meet on
Monday to assess an offer by a CDP-led consortium offer to buy
Atlantia's stake in motorway unit Autostrade per l'Italia (1200
GMT)
    Singapore's wealth fund GIC is likely to back the offer
siding with the Benetton family's holding company Edizione and
Turin-based banking foundation Fondazione CRT, Corriere della
Sera reported on Sunday. GIC has not replied to a Reuters
request for comment.
    
    ACEA  ACE.MI 
    Regional utility Acea is planning to spin off its solar
power operations and find a financial partner to help it develop

    The utility said on Saturday its board had appointed Gianni
Vittorio Armani as new CEO to replace the outgoing Massimiliano

    The retailer said on Friday that the group's sales in the
first 27 days of May posted a strong growth compared to both May
2019 and the budget. 
    The year-to-date economic and financial results at the date
of May 27 are better than the current year's budget, it added.
