Aussie energy stocks eye best day in a week as oil prices soar

** Australian energy index  .AXEJ  gains as much as 1.2% to
mark its biggest intraday jump in a week
    ** Oil prices settled at a three-year high on Friday,
boosted by forecasts of a supply deficit in the next few months
as the easing of coronavirus-related travel restrictions spurs
demand.  O/R  
    ** Heavyweights Beach Energy Ltd  BPT.AX  and Worley Ltd
 WOR.AX  are the top gainers on the sub-index, gaining 2.8% and
1.8​%, respectively
    ** Natural gas major Santos Ltd  STO.AX  climbs 1.6%
    ** Senex Energy  SXY.AX  soars as much as 15.7%, its highest
since 2014, after POSCO International  047050.KS  makes an
A$814.8 mln ($604.01 mln) takeover play  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL1N2RD0GN
    ** AXEJ up 10.9% YTD as of last close
