RNS Number : 3126G Powerhouse Energy Group PLC 01 October 2024

1st October 2024

Powerhouse Energy Group Plc

 ("PHE" or the "Company")

Update on Technical Centre

Powerhouse Energy Group Plc (AIM: PHE), a company pioneering integrated
technology that converts non-recyclable waste into low carbon energy with a
revenue generating engineering consulting division (Engsolve), is pleased to
provide an update on the progress of its Technical Centre at Bridgend in
Wales.

The Company have now taken delivery of the Instrument air and Nitrogen
Generation package from Atlas Copco; following the earlier deliveries of the
Thermal Conversion Chamber ("TCC") kiln from AGICO and the gas clean-up system
from VUM of Germany.

Further to the Company's previous announcement on 14(th) August 2024, the
civil works for the external Nitrogen and Produced water tanks, which began in
September, are progressing as per schedule.

The process control system and panel have advanced as expected and the Company
will begin cabling in October, as well as installing all of the utility and
syngas pipework.

The targeted completion date of the installation and commissioning work
remains mid to late Q4 2024.

In parallel to the FTU works, we have relocated the demonstration unit from
the Chester site to Bridgend, completing the consolidation of PHE operations
to the Bridgend site.

The FTU has a nameplate capacity to transform 2.5 tonnes per day of waste into
Syngas and is a reduced size version of the proposed commercial process, which
has the capability to produce around 250kW of electrical power dependent upon
feedstock, or approximately 200kg a day of hydrogen when the required
separation process is installed. The FTU will initially be utilised for
R&D and investor / customer demonstrations, after which the Company will
evaluate commercial opportunities for the process.

Paul Emmitt, CEO of PHE, commented:

"I am extremely pleased with the progress we are making on the FTU build,
whilst we continue to maintain our schedule and budget. This is a hugely
significant milestone for the Company as having a fully operational technology
centre will undoubtedly help provide us with even greater impetus to our
pipeline whilst further innovating the services that we can provide. We
look forward to providing further updates as we progress towards completion in
Q4 this year."

About Powerhouse Energy Group plc

Powerhouse Energy has developed a process technology which can utilise waste
plastic, end-of-life-tyres, and other waste streams to convert them
efficiently and economically into syngas from which valuable products such as
chemical precursors, hydrogen, electricity, heat and other industrial products
may be derived. PHE's process produces low levels of safe residues and
requires a small operating footprint, making it suitable for deployment at
enterprise and community level.

PHE also incorporates Engsolve Ltd, which is a revenue generating business who
offer Engineering Services across all sectors with speciality services in the
development of new technologies and clean energy.
