Poland's PKO BP beats second-quarter profit expectations
Poland's PKO BP beats second-quarter profit expectations Aug 13 (Reuters) - Poland's top bank PKO BP PKO.WA reported a forecast-beating second-quarter net profit on Thursday, as higher fee income and lower Swiss franc loan legal costs offset a higher tax burden and falling net interest income due to lower interest rates.
PKO BP posted a net profit of 2.77 billion zlotys ($741 million) for the three months through June, compared with analysts' median forecast of 2.70 billion zlotys compiled by the bank.
