DATA
On Wednesday at 1200 the National Bank of Poland will release information on core inflation in March. Analysts forecast that it slowed down to 3.4% from 3.6% in February.
BUDGET
Poland's budget deficit reached 76.3 billion zlotys ($20.1 billion) at the end of March, data from the finance ministry showed on Tuesday. Budget spending increased due to the repayment of bonds issued by the Polish Development Fund for the needs of COVID "financial shields", Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
MISSILES FOR THE ARMY
Polish defence company WB Electronics and South Korea's Hanwha Aerospace 012450.KS have signed an agreement to form a joint venture producing missiles in Poland, the Polish defence ministry said on Tuesday.
BANKING SECTOR
Polish banks would like to see a strict deadline set for when customers who have taken out a loan could sue them. Now banks are being flooded with lawsuits for loans granted years ago, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported.
PEKAO SA
Pekao SA PEO.WA, a part of Polish insurance group PZU PZU.WA, wants to generate 1 billion zlotys ($264.05 million) of insurance premiums to PZU's revenues within three years, Puls Biznesu reported.
