DRAFT BUDGET FOR 2026
During a meeting scheduled for Thursday, the Polish government will discuss the draft state budget for 2026.
MPC MINUTES
On Thursday at 1200, the Polish central bank will publish a report from the Monetary Policy Council (MPC) meeting in July, when the MPC unexpectedly cut interest rates by 25 basis points.
PZU
Poland's largest insurer PZU PZU.WA reported a 23% rise in its second-quarter net profit on Thursday, driven by a strong performance from both its core insurance operations and its banking business.
EUROCASH
Polish supermarket chain Eurocash EUR.WA reported a 13.5 million zloty ($3.7 million) net loss for the second quarter, citing weak demand and a shrinking wholesale market, and said it had shut 75 stores in the first half of the year.
