INTEREST RATES
On Wednesday, the Polish Monetary Policy Council (MPC) will announce its decision on interest rates. Analysts polled by Reuters expect them to remain unchanged after a 50 basis point cut in May.
VOTE OF CONFIDENCE
Polish lawmakers will hold a vote of confidence in the government on June 11, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Tuesday as he seeks to shore up his centre-left coalition after Sunday's presidential election loss.
GOVERNMENT RESHUFFLE
The Polish Prime Minister and the ruling coalition are preparing for talks on a government reshuffle, which could involve up to eight ministries. It will probably be carried out in August, after the new president is sworn in, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
CHANGES TO THE CONSTITUTION
On Wednesday, the Polish parliament is to hold its first reading of the bill by current President Andrzej Duda, which assumes that at least 4% of GDP of budget funds will be allocated to defence, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
POLISH CAR FACTORY
The Polish Ministry of State Assets supports the idea of building a car factory in Jaworzno by ElectroMobility Poland, although production of cars of the Polish brand Izera is no longer an option, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported.
