Polish state-controlled energy group Orlen PKN.WA reported a near 20% rise in its third-quarter core profit on Thursday, helped by a strong recovery in its downstream segment even as revenue fell due to lower oil prices.
PZU
Poland's largest insurer PZU PZU.WA reported an 64% yearly rise in its third-quarter profit on Thursday, as higher revenues from premiums coupled with lower costs of insurance.
ALLEGRO
Poland's largest e-commerce company Allegro ALEP.WA on Thursday reported a beat on its domestic third-quarter earnings, but trimmed its annual volume growth expectations on slower start to the fourth quarter.
CYFROWY POLSAT
Polish media and telecoms group Cyfrowy Polsat CPS.WA on Tuesday reported a 72% drop in third-quarter net profit to 69.6 million zlotys ($19.0 million), below a Reuters poll of analysts that forecast profit of 90 million zlotys.

RAILWAY TRACK BLAST
Poland said on Wednesday it would close the last Russian consulate in its territory and deploy thousands of soldiers to protect infrastructure in response to a railway explosion it blames on Moscow.
