GDANSK, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Polish insurer PZU PZU.WA sees a risk that key legislation necessary for its planned merger with Bank Pekao PEO.WA could be delayed, its acting CEO Bogdan Benczak told a press conference on Thursday.
Legislative changes are needed under Polish law to allow a bank to merge with a non-bank entity like an insurer. A decision on whether a new agreement with the bank will be necessary due to the delay will be made in December, Benczak said.
