U.S. stocks were little changed on Thursday after a four-day surge, as weakness
in retailers due to tepid holiday season report from Macy's Inc and concerns
over progress in the U.S.-China trade talks were offset by gains in Boeing. .N 
    At 12:20 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.05 percent at
23,890.28. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.01 percent at 2,584.76 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.05 percent at 6,953.774.
