Editas falls after retinal disorder therapy data; rival ProQR jumps

** Shares of gene-editing therapy developer  EDIT.O  fall
15.3% to $44.42
    ** EDIT reports initial data from 5 people in its early- to
mid-stage clinical trial testing three doses of EDIT-101, its
experimental gene editing treatment for blindness due to Leber
congenital amaurosis 10 - a retinal disorder associated with
vision impairment
    ** Says data from two out of three people who received a
mid-level dose of the therapy and were followed for up to six
months showed potential benefits including improvements in

    ** One of the three people was reported to have shown enough
improvement in clarity of vision needed for FDA approval,
according to brokerage Truist Securities
    ** Shares of ProQR Therapeutics  PRQR.O , which is
developing a different type of therapy for the same retinal
disease, rise 1.5% to $8.22
    ** Shares of other gene editing companies Intellia
Therapeutics Inc  NTLA.O , CRISPR Therapeutics  CRSP.O  and Beam
Therapeutics Inc  BEAM.O  down between 0.1% and 2.5%
    ** EDIT down 25.2% YTD, while PRQR had surged 92.9% up to
the last close
