    MFE secures 40.38% in Prosieben as of 1200 GMT while tender continues

    MUNICH, Aug 13 (Reuters) - MFE-MediaForEurope MFEB.MI said on Wednesday it had secured a 40.38% stake in Prosiebensat.1 PSMGN.DE as of 1200 GMT under the Italian group's ongoing public takeover offer for the media company so far.

The acceptance period for MFE's offer ends later on Wednesday, as does a rival offer by Czech investment company PPF.
