** Shares of Protara Therapeutics TARA.O fall 15.8% to
$6.25 in premarket trading
** The drug developer, late on Monday, said its bladder
cancer therapy, TARA-002, showed 68% of patients had no signs of
cancer at six months, but only 33% at 12 months, in an ongoing
mid-stage trial
** The 12-month mark data appears to be "immature" and
disappointment stems from small patient numbers, said TD Cowen
analyst Stacy Ku
** The six-month data was based on 22 evaluable patients,
while only 15 patients were evaluable at the 12-month mark
** "The 12-month CRR is a touch below investor expectations
of 40%+ CRR," said Ku, adding "the short-term investor
disappointment could be a buying opportunity"
** TARA fell 4.5% in 2025
