Laboratories Ltd  PIQ.AX  rise as much as 18.5% to A$1.055,
their highest since May 23
    ** Co signs a binding and exclusive letter of intent (LOI)
with Sonic Healthcare USA, a division of Sonic Healthcare Ltd

    ** Says LOI is for entering into an exclusive licence for
using co's PromarkerD test for diabetic kidney disease in the
U.S.
    ** Adds PromarkerD is a newly developed blood test that can
predict kidney function decline in type 2 diabetes
    ** Volumes are 2.8 times the 30-day average of 79,970 shares
    ** As of last close, stock down 26.8% this year
