New Zealand central bank names prudential supervision head SYDNEY, Oct 30 (Reuters) - New Zealand's central bank on Friday named Stan Christian as its director of prudential supervision, a role that will see him lead the day-to-day frontline supervision of banks, licensed non-bank deposit takers and insurance companies.
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ), which also serves as the country's banking regulator, has split its central bank duties and banking supervision roles across different entities
Christian, who is currently the acting director of prudential supervision, joined the RBNZ in 2018, where he has worked across a range of prudential supervision roles
Before joining the RBNZ, Christian held senior risk management and corporate services roles at international banks across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and Britain
Christian will formally take up the role on November 1
