References made in press articles for an alleged non-authorisation for the first time of PPCs Chairman for representing "Silchester International Investors LLP" in the Ordinary General Meeting of Company's shareholders are inaccurate.
For the accurate information of the investment community, PPC S.A. clarifies that, Silchester International Investors LLP acts as investment manager to a number of large institutional clients. In line with standard market practice, the institutional clients hold their assets at various global custodial banks. In Greece, it is commonplace for a Greek subcustodian to represent Silchester's institutional clients at General Meetings of the Company, as it was also the case in the Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting held on 7.7.2017.
