U.S. stocks edged higher on Tuesday, as an advance in technology shares and a
jump in Johnson & Johnson following strong results countered losses in
UnitedHealth and Bank of America. .N 
    At 11:40 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.14 percent at
26,421.46. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.09 percent at 2,908.32 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.31 percent at 8,000.975.
