    - Canadian telecoms operator Quebecor  QBRb.TO  requests for
intervention of Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne in
its dispute with Rogers Communications  RCIb.TO , after learning
that Rogers intends to appeal a recent wireless rate-setting
decision by Canada's telecom regulator.
    
    - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday
criticized Meta  META.O  for blocking domestic news from its
platforms, saying the Facebook-parent was prioritizing profit
over safety as devastating wildfires force tens of thousands to
evacuate their homes.
    
    - The Canadian federal government should reassess its policy
on international students and consider a cap on a program that
has seen "explosive growth," putting pressure on rental markets
and driving up costs, said Housing and Infrastructure Minister
