** Shares of diagnostics company QuidelOrtho  QDEL.O  rise
3.3% to $45.65 
    ** Activist investor Jana Partners revealed a stake of 1.2
million shares in QDEL at the end of Q1, according to a
regulatory filing
    ** The position amounted to a 1.8% stake in QDEL
    ** Reuters had first reported on Tuesday that Jana had built
the stake
    ** It is unclear whether Jana will seek changes at the
company
    ** Up to last close, stock down 40% YTD
